The words "manyfold" and "manifold" look very similar, and have related meanings:
"Manyfold" means "by many times" or "many times over".
"Manifold" means (among several other meanings) "multiple" or "numerous".
So you could have manifold (i.e multiple) practice sessions, to increase your skill level manyfold (i.e. many times over) - but not the other way around.
The most interesting other meanings are the mathematical one, the engineering one, and the comic book one.
