The font I use for Cthulhu's speech (Flat Earth Scribe) seems to have two different symbols for apostrophes - as seen in the first and last panels here. I experimented to try and figure out what was causing this difference, but didn't manage to get to the bottom of the mystery. It's not the difference between a straight apostrophe[1] and a "smart" apostrophe[2], as I tried typing a smart one and that looks different again (so there are at least three different apostrophe glyphs in this font).
