Imagine what it would be like to actually see a new world, up close, with your own eyes. Or to step on one and look around and go for a bit of a walk.

No, really: Close your eyes for 30 seconds and imagine it.


2024-05-19 Rerun commentary: When I was young I used to dream about travelling to the Moon or Mars and actually seeing them with my own eyes. I would have leapt at the chance to be an astronaut and get on a spacecraft.

Having watched numerous science fiction movies involving spaceflight, now I'm hard pressed to think of anything more terrifying.
