Of course in this timeline, the Allosaurus was the running mate for Franklin D. Roosevelt in the 1944 Presidential election, and succeeded to the Presidency when Roosevelt died of cerebral haemorrhage just three months into his fourth term.
It was unfortunate that Roosevelt did not live quite long enough to see the end of World War II, but the Allosaurus quickly took command and led the US forces to decisive victories in Europe and the Pacific.
And by the way, today, 5 December, is the Day of the Ninja. To celebrate, I have concealed 30 ninjas in today's comic. See if you can spot them all.
The Allosaurus went on to win the election in 1948 against Thomas Dewey. In a notable incident, the Chicago Daily Tribune miscalculated who had won the election as it went to early press with its morning edition, leading to the famously erroneous headline "DEWEY DEFEATS ALLOSAURUS".
