4 Hades: Huh? No. Not at all. Different people can have the same name, you know.

One of the problems people sometimes have when running roleplaying games (such as Dungeons & Dragons or others) is coming up with unique names for NPCs.

Don't bother! Many people in the real world have the same name. And cases of mistaken identity can be fun!

For bonus points, have two people with the same name be aware of each other and then they can adopt nicknames or differentiators, such as Brodag the Mighty, and Brodag the Clever. For extra bonus points, have them adopt similar epithets, such as Brodag the Larger and Brodag the Bigger, and let your players try to figure out if they refer to one or two people.
