1 Cameraman: C-c-c-can I have a sh-sh-shot of whisky to warm m-m-m-me up?
2 Jamie: Actually that’s a myth. Alcohol dilates the capillaries, accelerating heat loss and lowering your core temperature.

4 Cameraman: C-c-c-c-c-can w-w-we at least t-t-t-t-t-test it??

The warm glow you feel when drinking alcohol is your nice warm blood rushing to the surface layers of your skin as your blood vessels dilate - from where it rapidly loses that heat to the surroundings, thus lowering your body temperature.

What this means is that alcohol is best given to people for medicinal purposes on hot days. ;-)
