Comic #3433

1 Adam: We're building our model of Atlantis at a scale of two miles to the inch.
2 Adam: At 345 miles, the central plain will be 14 feet across.
3 Jamie: Isn't that a bit big?
4 Adam: We can fit more dynamite in this way.
4 Jamie: Carry on.

To give you an idea of roughly what sort of scale 2 miles to the inch is, this map is pretty close. At least on my computer screen - though it should be roughly right for most people.

Now if you just had a screen 14 feet wide, you could see the entire central plain of Atlantis! The entire island is somewhat bigger, as there are mountain ranges surrounding the plain.
