3 Erwin: I thought we Nazis burnt books, Herr Kolonel.
4 Haken: Ja. Many copies would keep me warm during die Bavarian winter!

The Nazis did indeed burn books as part of a campaign to rid Germany of "un-German spirit" - or in reality anything which contradicted or offended the Nazi ideology.
