2021-07-10 Rerun commentary: For all the memetic reputation MacGyver has, I must admit I've never seen an episode of the TV show. I don't ever recall it being shown on Australian television, though it's possible I just missed it at the time. Everything I know about MacGyver has simply been absorbed by cultural osmosis, plus a few mentions on Mythbusters.

Two different friends of mine tell me that it was on Australian TV at some point, but neither of them ever watched it at the time, so like me they've never actually seen the show.
