3 Charon: The only way for you to return is if I decide to take you back. And there's nothing you can bribe me with.
4 Adam: Oh? Would you like to wager something on that? Say... some Blue Suede Shoes...?

I'm not sure what the light source is in the Underworld, but clearly it's bright enough that Adam has to keep his sunglasses on.

2019-08-25 Rerun commentary: I've queued up so many of these rerun comments in advance that it's been long enough for me to forget what this reference was about and I had to go back and reread a bunch of strips to remind myself. Rest assured that it makes sense if you remember their earlier conversation.

I like Charon as a character. I should see if I can come up with some way to use him again. Without necessarily sending more characters to the Greek Underworld.
