Travelling to distant locations is always exciting. I'm always charged with energy when I arrive somewhere new, and am keen to go and see things and do stuff. It's tempered a little by the tiredness of travel (well over 24 hours on planes and in airports by the time I get to Europe, for example) and jetlag, but it's still often difficult to actually go to sleep that first night.
