Yes, he brought two frogs to Mars, just in case. The rover is seeing one, and the other is sitting on the Martian.


2013-02-05 Rerun commentary: The explanation for this strip, if it's not entirely clear, is that Death of Insanely Overpowered Fireballs is currently demoted to Death of Being Sat On By A Giant Frog, and wants to collect someone who died that way to get back into Head Death's good books. So he engineered this by bringing giant frogs to Mars.

The reason he brought two giant frogs is because when I made the strip I didn't realise that the rover wash now not in the same position as the Martian and Death of Being Ground By A Mars Rover Rock Abrasion Tool, and when I assembled the photos into the strip I realised the problem and quickly justified it in the annotation.

Wait... I mean the real reason he brought two frogs was so he'd have a backup. Yeah.
