Comic #258

1 [caption]: If Shakespeare had been born 400 years later...
1 Shakespeare: {sitting at the computer} Ah! E-mail from my publisher.
2 Shakespeare: "Thank you for submitting your new play, Hamlet, Prince of Denmark."
3 Shakespeare: "I must advise you, however, that PowerPoint presentations are not a substitute for a full manuscript."
4 Shakespeare: "If you continue sending such items, we will have you disbard."

This is a direct follow-up to #240.

And if it's a terrible pun, you just know it was inspired by zem.

2012-08-25 Rerun commentary: Aha, and here's the next appearance of Shakespeare that I foreshadowed a couple of strips ago. Hmmm. Maybe Death didn't quite get a theme by now, and Shakespeare would languish as Miscellaneous for a bit longer.

Later, of course, Will would do most of his writing in the office. Here he appears to be at home - something we never got to see later on.
