1 Charon: Have you a coin for the Ferryman?
2 Prof. Jones: Let's see. I have francs, guilders, marks, escudos, pesetas, lire, zloty, roubles, dinars, dirhams, piastres, rand, rupees, baht, and yen.
3 Prof. Jones: Will any of those do?
4 Charon: <sigh> Do you know how much commission I have to pay to get those exchanged into obols?

Charon was traditionally paid in obols.
He's had to deal with exchange rates for almost the past two thousand years.
