Comic #142

1 Mordekai: {encountering a nice, shiny sword on the floor} O-ho! What's this?
2 GM: The Sword of Barlon. It's +4 skill, +8 damage, and flames on command. But it slowly drains your soul and turns you into a zombie...
3 Mordekai: Cool! I'll use it!
3 Lambert: Didn't you hear what he said?
4 Lambert: It'll slowly drain you of your humanity and kill you!
4 Mordekai: So? How long do you think this campaign will last, anyway?

2012-04-12 Rerun commentary: Barlon? Where on Earth did I come up with that name from?

Appropriately, the first Google hit is for a Canadian company called Barlon Engineering Group. Presumably besides oil and gas drilling, they also make swords.

Or maybe it's the sword of Barlon Hightower.

Or perhaps this German sportswear retailer sells swords as well.

Or maybe this horse had a sword for some reason. That slowly turned it into a zombie. Yeah.
