Comic #1250

1 {scene: The ship's bridge. Starfields are visible through the viewports, showing they have left the starport.}
1 Paris: So, you're a tree being.
1 Quercus: Yes. From the planet Fagalia.
2 Quercus: People often find it awkward asking me about my origins, but it's quite straightforward, really.
3 {silent beat}
4 Quercus: So, you're a ghost.
4 Paris: Just don't ask...

I kind of skipped over the events of take-off. In case it's not obvious, they're now en route to Bune to deliver the Allosaurus, and not sitting in the starport any more.

2015-12-02 Rerun commentary: I just did a web search for "Fagalia" and I found this.

Pretty cool for a planet that's only been mentioned twice in my little comic, and nowhere else as far as I know or can determine.

Anyway, I've never explained before where the name Fagalia came from. I constructed it from the name Fagales, which is an order of trees that includes Fagus, the genus of beech trees.
