1 Mace Windu: No, he will not be trained.
2 Qui-Gon: But he is the Chosen One!
2 Yoda: Our own counsel will we keep on who is to be trained, Master Qui-Gon.
3 Qui-Gon: But why? Is he too old to begin the training?
4 {camera pans out to show Jar Jar waiting patiently outside the Jedi Council chamber}
4 Yoda: No, too stupid.
4 Mace Windu: And what's with the "Meesa wanna be a Jedi" thing?

2012-02-13 Rerun commentary: Like the Nigerian Finance Minister earlier, Mace Windu here has his skin artificially darkened in my graphics editor. I was so pleased when LEGO came out with their Basketball line, which was the first time they issued minifigures with any sort of natural skin colour at all, as opposed to the primary yellow that was standard up to then.
