Comic #669

1 Me: Oooh, this is a cool webcomic. Wow, over 650 strips in the archive to read...
2 {scene: Eight tiny subpanels showing me interested, laughing, shocked, engrossed, chuckling, angered, yawning, and physically drained}
3 [caption]: 8 hours later...
3 Me: Man, they were great! But now I'm cramped, tired, hungry, and my eyes are watering...
4 Me: Hang on... there's annotations??!!

Okay, how many of you have been through this?

This strip has more photos than any other strip so far. I took the method of using several tiny frames with slightly varied composition to indicate the passage of time from Hergé's Tintin comics, specifically The Broken Ear, page 23. Hergé is one of the major influences on the technical composition of my comics.

2013-12-18 Rerun commentary: I got the idea for this strip because at the time I'd received two very closely spaced e-mails from readers who had written to inform/complain to me about exactly that.

I hope anyone reading these comics for the first time now has not just realised that there are annotations...
