Paris is indeed famously known as the City of Light (La Ville-lumière).

Not the "City of Lights" as I thought when I wrote this strip. Naturally I had to change it to the correct version. It hurts the plurality-matching of the grammar slightly, but not enough to scrap the gag.

By the way, if you ever plan going to Paris, and want to check out the official website (paris.fr), don't be suckered in by the sleazy paris.com and paris.org tourism "portals" that are listed above it in a Google search, for some unfathomably stupid reason.
