I checked the script of Stranger Things, and the principal refers to Mike as "Michael". Which is fair enough, but made me stop and think for a split second.

Some years ago I attended a wedding between my friends David and Tina, both of whom I'd known for several years. During the ceremony, the celebrant said, "Do you, David, take Christina..."

There was a noticeable ripple of turning heads and a murmur through everyone gathered to witness the event, as everybody turned to their neighbour and whispered, "Christina? Who's Christina??"
