I know this appears to contradict #713.


2022-02-21 Rerun commentary: This strip is of course a reference to H.G. Wells's The War of the Worlds. Which was really the inspiration for the entire Martians theme in the beginning.

It's nice to see that in 1898 the Martians had super advanced reel-to-reel magnetic tape technology.
