My mother has always been very much into murder mysteries, both in novel and television/film form. She brags that she's read and seen enough of them that she knows all of the ways in which murderers are sloppy and end up leaving clues and getting caught. So much so that she thinks she could carry out the perfect murder and never be caught.
As far as I know, my mother has never actually murdered anyone...
