Comic #404

1 Paris: Where's my stellar cartography data and flight navigation calculations?
2 Spanners: I saved them on the holocube here. {indicating the cube on the bridge dashboard}
3 Paris: How come in the future everything is cubes? Whatever happened to discs?
4 Iki Piki: Do you want a repeat of... disco...?
4 Paris: Oh. I see.

Well I've always wondered why everything in the future is stored on cubes and not discs. And this seems like the best reason I can think of.

2013-02-12 Rerun commentary: Of course in the future this means there'll inevitably be a music style called cubo.

And yes, it will involve DJs spinning memory cubes on some sort of rotating thingy. How else are you supposed to read a memory cube?
