I originally wrote this with the phrase "latest Test cricket match", to be slightly more friendly to our non-cricket-familiar readers, but then I figured that nobody in the situation in the comic would say that since, given the context, anyone he's talking to should know what sport the yeti is talking about.

There are Test matches in other sports, but I felt the implication of "latest news" here was an indication that the sport being considered lasted significantly longer than an average football or rugby match.

Eh, maybe not. Well, this comic went live during play in the first Test of the 2009 Ashes series, so cricket's still most appropriate. :-)
