So that's where Haken ends up! And this begins a short crossover suggested by Glen Barnett.
I generated the vortex image using the POV-Ray raytracer. For those of you who are interested, it's a simple hollow torus with a turbulent marble pattern and a colour map that runs through all the primaries. Takes about 10 seconds to generate.
